For more than four decades, Protective Materials Company, a division of the Protective Group, Inc., has been a pioneer in the custom development of Bullet and Blast-Resistant products for the United States Department of Defense and the Military Establishments of Allied Nations.

This longstanding relationship has provided the opportunity for the ongoing research, development and production of numerous cutting-edge armor products which have proven instrumental in saving multitudes of lives worldwide.

The following list of milestones attests to the company's capabilities:

1. Provides ballistic protective vests currently used by US Special forces in Operation Enduring Freedom
2. Exclusively authorized to produce "Crashworthy" protective armor for Sikorsky helicopters
3. Produces state-of-the-art helicopter floor armor for UH-60 and CH-47 and many other air craft in use world wide
4. Developed and produced anti-mine armor for 3,000 HMMWV's in Bosnia
5. Developed special composite armor to protect US Patriot Missiles during Persian Gulf War
6. First to receive US Army contract to produce Kevlar vests after pioneering the ballistic use of this fabric
7. First to install lightweight armor in combat helicopters
8. First to extend the ability of lightweight armor beyond the .50 Caliber range
9. First to use ceramic armor in chest protection for Military Personnel
