The AV-5, Aviatior's Flotation Vest, is the latest development of a product for agencies which require a "clean" exterior profile for their ballistic aviators survival vest. This modular configuration is constructed to incorporate the Emergency Survival Air System (ESAS), the LRU-18C, the LPU-26 flotation bladder, a level IIIA ballistic panel and the capability to upgrade to level IV. There are no exposed loops or hardware which could snag during egress from an aircraft either on land or at seas.
