Airsave

The Airsave was a Joint Service development to meet the requirements of today's Helo, TacAir and Fixed Wing operational survival requirements. This Protective Materials Company developed system is modular to meet all military and tactical mission profiles. The Airsave has three integrated components: the survival vest, the military specified soft ballistic vest, and the small arms protection inserts.

The survival vest is designed to permit the user to arrange their vest in accordance with their needs. These pockets are modular and removable. The Airsave is compatible with all existing LPU's, chem-bio, body armor, torso harness, and oxygen systems. It is deigned to fit the 5 th % female to the 95% male.

The overall system weight in full up configuration is 25 pounds. The ballistic vest offers protection against anti-aircraft fragmentation and 9mm submachine guns. With the use of the small arms protective inserts, the system is capable of vital organ protection against 7.62 AP.
