Air based products
Protective Materials Company has been a preferred supplier of modular aircraft armor to the U.S. Military and the military establishments of Allied Nations for more than 35 years. Due to its longstanding military connections, Protective Materials is always abreast of the latest developments in materials technology and is continually striving to incorporate this knowledge into improving current and designing new products. Protective Materials Company specializes in the custom development of many modular aircraft armor products, and is capable of quick, on-site design and installation, even during emergency circumstances.
Most recently Protective Materials Company was awarded the U.S. Army contract to develop Ballistic Protection System (BPS) , the latest state-of-the-art, modular helicopter armor system currently being used in "Operation Enduring Freedom" and "Operation Iraqi Freedom."
Land based products
Drawing on its experiences as an industry leader in the development of lightweight armor applications for military aircraft for several decades, Protective Materials Company has in recent years increased its involvement with the development of bullet and anti-mine armor solutions for military land vehicles. As with our aircraft systems, land vehicle armor systems can be designed and installed on-site, and during emergency periods.
Personnel based Products
Protective Materials Company was one of the first US companies to produce a full range of tactical armor systems to protect onboard personnel for the U.S. Military and the governments of Allied Nations around the world. PMC has played a decisive role in the technological advancement of US Army and Navy Aircrew Armor development since the Vietnam War and has continued to be a leading contractor for the US military in Desert Storm, Somalia , Haiti , Bosnia , Kosovo , Colombia and most recently Afghanistan .
All PMC military body armor systems have the ability to be customized due our integrated design approach. In addition PMC's standard military products, our engineers have the capability to design custom armor systems for onboard personnel.
